Western Reserve Hospital is the only local physician-owned and operated, full-service hospital in Northeast Ohio. A 100% patient-centered organization, Western Reserve Hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services to Cuyahoga Falls and surrounding communities and boasts a multitude of specialties and a wide array of general and acute care services such as neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery services and includes a 24/7 emergency department, Center for Pain Medicine, sleep labs and Urgent Care Center. Western Reserve Hospital entered into an agreement with University Hospitals (UH) to join Western Reserve as a partner in late 2020. The partnership allows Western Reserve Hospital to deliver its unique healthcare experience to more patients throughout the region in addition to gaining access to leading-edge technology, innovative practices, quaternary care and strong clinical research and trials to complement and grow the hospital’s clinical programs.
Western Reserve Hospital provides prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients and emergency operations and will soon be a Level III trauma center. The hospital’s Emergency Department offers emergency care 24 hours a day, with physicians who specialize in emergency care with specialty consultations available within 30 minutes by a member of the hospital medical staff. The hospital’s scope of services includes in-house capabilities for managing physical and related emotional problems, with provisions for transfer to another facility when indicated. The emergency department also responds to all announced in-hospital codes and other emergencies. Helmed by Dr. Rudd “Sonny” Bare, Chief, Division of Emergency Medicine and Rob Lewis, EMS Director, the emergency department works closely with local fire, EMS and law enforcement responders to provide training as well as community support during emergency situations.

• Designated Med Control for the cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Valley Fire District and Blossom Music Center
